A Heartfelt Thank You....

I have to write this post... I don't even know where to begin, so I'm going to begin at the end and work my way backward.  This is the post I will re-publish when Alexander's dog is sitting next to him.  This is the post that needs to be heard now even though it is not totally a reality.  Because anything less would not even begin to reveal the enormity of the Thank You I must say.

Thank you.  To all those who posted our original and subsequent posts about Alexander's seizure dogs in social media outlets.  Thank you.  To all those who found the blog and saw something in our family worth investing in.  Thank you. To all those who prayed, at any point, once - or a million times for our family.  Thank you. To all of our friends... who are in touch or out of touch .... who still saw it in them to encourage us.  Thank you.  For all the kind words you have said about our family.  I read them. I cry tears of appreciation and joy that people would root so whole heartedly for one little baby and his family.  Thank you.  To my fellow WHS mommies who support us even when they are in the midst of their own trials this genetic disorder brings.  Thank you.  To my twin mommies.  Who over and over again show this precious bond we shared because of raising twins together holds true.  Who support me whole heartedly even though my world is less and less about "the twinadoes" and more and more about special needs.  Thank you. To my fellow teachers... in my school and others.  My co-workers are amazing and ask me constantly how life is.  They can't begin to know that those few words of caring are often the thing I need to recharge and get through each day.  Thank you. To students.  To my students and other students who support us.  Children are not supposed to support adults.  One of the most moving days I ever had teaching was when I told my classes about Alexander.... because children felt compassion for us.  It was the most humbling experience to be on the receiving end of something you try to encourage people to do every day. Thank you. To our families.  There are no words. From the moment we began down this path you have walked along side us - and for that I will always be grateful.  Thank you. To my high school friends. To my college friends.  To the people who have offered to donate... to donate their talents to help us achieve our goal.  Thank you.  To our church family - and to all those church families who have supported us through prayer, donations, and other fundraisers.
