Dear Addison...(insane post)

Someday I hope you have a daughter Just like you.

Last night's activities:
Prologue - While I'm holding Alexander, I look up and see Addison holding a marker.  Bad Sign.
"Addison! Put down that marker!"  As I get up and start putting Alexander down.
She looked me square in the eye, crouched down, and began to fervorishly scribble on the hard wood floor.
"ADDISON! Stop!!"
She looks at me and smiles. Seriously?
Ray comes running in. "What happened? What is going on?"
"Get her! She is COLORING on the floor! And I just told her not to."
Ray goes over. Punishes Addison. Sends her to the corner. She never said a word. She doesn't cry. She doesn't even act like it phases her.  She stands in the corner moving around as if she is at the park.... one leg up. one leg down. other leg up. other leg down. No tears......
Ray says, "Addison, come here. You may come out of the corner."
Addison walks over to Ray.
"What did you do wrong?"
"May I have a vitamin now?"

She's going to put me in an institution. That girl. She cracks me up because she is so bad. Please let her have a daughter just like her... So we can continue this tradition.

"Please... No pictures at this time."

P.S. The camera is in the shop.  I'm sorry your childhood is now captured through a cell phone camera.  You are way too cute for these photos.

I don't remember if I told you this or not, but I tell people that my Alex is what you would get if the Energizer Bunny and the Tazmanian Devil had a child - he never stops moving and he leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes. He was in the corner about 15 times this morning before the bus got him at 11:20. When I walked him out to the bus, I looked at his driver and said "Thank God you're here" and she just laughed.

Kids. They're going to kill me.

Is it bad to say that I'm so glad I'm not alone -- to have a child who appears to not hear or understand a single word of what you say when punishing them??? ;)
