Parenting of the Year award - Isle 3 please

People say kind things to me.
They think I have super powers because of parenting 3 kids under 2 1/2 years of age.
I don't.
They think I have super patience because I parent twins and an infant.
I don't.
Here are some examples:
(disclaimer... no one was actually hurt at our household.)

Andrew pulled the window pane off the back door yesterday.
If a day goes by without a bruise - we will play the lottery.
The twins like to lay on the top of the couch and pretend they are cats.
The twins have each fallen off the couch.
Great Parents take pictures before they pull the kids off....
Almost every conversation contains the word poop or toot.... or worse.
Yesterday Andrew's pen stopped working.  He said, "Holy Crap!  What the heck happened?"
I only make 1 meal a night. Eat it ... or - well - you can figure that one out.
Yesterday Andrew reached the top of the mantle by stacking toys on top of each other.... and standing on his tower.
This was last summer... he was 1 1/2 years old.

Tonight Addison stood on top the couch. That girl is gonna break her neck.
My kids like to "be naked" and request it about 1,000 times a day.
Andrew thinks that dirt cures all his boo boo's and Addison thinks kisses cure them.
I let my kids color with markers. And (obviously) play with pens.
We actively hunt out bugs.
I taught my kids how to drink from a cup using bath water.
My daughter's favorite song is Who built the Ark... but instead of saying "Noah" she says "No One"
My kids can't be trusted to sit for 5 minutes in church
I dress my kids up in ridiculous outfits.

I think a kid in a Harley Outfit is awesome
The shirt says from the Cradle to Chrome.

I believe in old fashioned values:
Respect your elders
Sit at the dinner table until you are dismissed
If you fall down - hop up, brush yourself off.
You are expected to OBEY Mommy and Daddy because we know best.
We love each other. Always

So.... If you see one of my kids with a cast - and that cast has a big old heart on it....
You will know that I let them "venture" too far, but I loved them the entire way through it.

Love, love, love it! I always joke about losing my Mother of the Year award because of the things my kids get into - but they'll survive. I don't coddle them and I'm not overly protective, until there's a threat.

We've only had one cast and one splint to deal with so far *knock on wood* - and they happened within weeks of each other.

Love it! Well we have had a broken arm, a concussion, stitches and skin glued together 3 times. Not because we have 5 but because we have one that seems to just find danger ;)
