Oprah to the rescue?

I wrote to Oprah. Let me first explain how the writing to Oprah works. You can't just "write" her a letter. You have special "topics" you have to write in. I wish they had a topic that said, "What is your grand plan to help others and how can I help you do it." However, they didn't. They did have a topic that said, "What have you learned from the show?" - and from there I went.

I decided to tell Oprah that I learned from her how to be generous. This is somewhat true.... mostly I've learned how to be generous from the people around us that have blessed our families. However, if you were to ask, "who is the most generous person in the world?" many people (including myself) would argue Oprah.

I also wanted to highlight what I've learned from Alexander. Without Alexander's gift into our lives, I would not have opened my heart to decide I must dedicate my life to giving back to others. There are so many ideas that float around in my head.... there are people who need what I can offer. It might not be monetary, but I have gifts. Compassion, time, patience, love.... And I still can't shake my dream for Scotland School Truth be told, I'm having a hard time thinking about my future plans for Scotland while finalizing things for the end of the school year, Alexander's fundraising needs, and ... life. I'm also having a hard time letting that dream die. Best solution : Oprah to the rescue. Well, maybe. Hopefully. About as realistic as winning the lottery. But it would still be amazing.......... One can always dream, right?

If you see this post ~ please know that I would keep my vow to help others as we have been blessed. It would be one of my greatest joys in life. One life to change others... - Just in case... One can always dream....
