I’ve still got my Kids

When it all is said and done,
I’ve still got my kids.
When the rain has washed over me,
I’ve still got my kids.
When the days are long,
I’ve still got my kids.
When we have a $700.00 electric bill,
I’ve still got my kids.
When the worries of the world lay on my shoulders,
I’ve still got my kids.
When no one has taken a nap and they all are full of attitudes and tears,
I’ve still got my kids. (Thank goodness I’ve still got my kids to give me an attitude and tears.)

I’ve had a bit of writer’s block. Some things are on my mind that I just can’t share publically. No worries – my health is ok. Our home situation is ok. My family is ok. Life is good. I just need to remember…

No matter what happens… Each day is a blessing. Ray is next to me. I’ve still got my kids. Life is good.

How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?

for he has been good to me.

I’m going to really work on taking life less seriously, relaxing, and … smiling for he has been good to me.
